Jorge Patino Macaco and Thiago Manchinha win titles at Thunder Fight 43
Held last Friday (14th), during Arnold South America 2023, Thunder Fight 43 crowned two new champions. Jorge Patino Macaco won the "Legends" belt by beating Serginho Soares in the main event, while Thiago Manchinha took the MMA lightweight title with a win over Marcos Babuíno.
Return of a legend
In the main event, former lightweight champion Jorge Patino Macaco returned to the organization and put on a show. At 49, Patino showed he is in great physical shape, imposed his game and defeated Serginho, 46, in the fourth round after his opponent retired.
With the result, the veteran – who is Charles do Bronx's coach – reached the mark of 39 wins, 19 losses and two draws in professional MMA.
Manchinha vs. Babuíno
In the second most important fight on the card, beasts Marcos Babuíno and Thiago Manchinha put on a show. And after five rounds full of emotion, Manchinha won by unanimous decision to become the organization's new lightweight champion.
