Thunder Fight 48 crowns Arthur Portes as new bantamweight champion
Thunder Fight 48, last weekend, was highlighted by the victory of Brazilian Arthur Portes, who won the bantamweight belt by submitting Bolivian Renzo Martinez with a rear-naked choke in the third round.
Another great moment of the night was the performance of Guilherme Haither, who shone again. In his sixth appearance with the organization – four amateur fights and two professional – Haither earned his second professional win by submitting Augusto Sérgio with a triangle choke in the second round.
Thunder Fight 48 also marked an important achievement outside the cage: the live broadcast on Jovem Pan News reached the lead among pay-TV channels during the event. The next edition is confirmed for May 25.
